As described in the website (www.jordanriver.jo), Jordan River Foundation has implemented a 18-month project, together with the Forestry Department and the Watershed Management Project/GTZ at the Ministry of Agriculture, aimed at generating awareness about the existence of historical trees in Jordan. Field studies and research were conducted on about 500 trees throughout the kingdom. The project is funded by the Global Environment Facility/Small Grants Program (UNDP).
Jordan River Foundation has also promoted a text by Lytton John Musselman: Jordan In Bloom – Wildflowers of the Holy Land, with 50 striking original watercolors by Dasha Fomicheva, portraying “the incredible beauty and diversity of Jordan’s flora”. Proceeds from the sale of the book go to the Jordan River Children Program.
