Exhibition of Piri Reis World Map in Rome 250 330 Euro Mediter

Until December 20 at Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center (Palazzo Lancellotti) is possible to visit the exhibition “Piri Reis 1513 World Map: 500 Years of Mystery”, organized by Turkish ceramics producer Kale Group. This initiative celebrates the 500th year of the world map.

Piri Reis is an ottoman cartographer. He lived between 1470-1553, completed his well-known world map in 1513. UNESCO declared the year 2013 as the year of 500th anniversary of Piri Reis World Map.
The exhibition features 90 large maps by Piri Reis and nearly 30 ceramic artworks.
