About us:

Mediter is the product of an European funded project “Women for Change” funded in 2011, but above all is the product of cooperative efforts developed over many years of work by various partners working in the Mediterranean region to reduce the imbalances, conflicts, develop forms of solidarity and cooperation.

Mediter strives to have a double impact: on the EU institutions and on populations (especially young women) in Mediterranean countries. Mediter aims to build a new local leadership in the Mediterranean region and promotes the strategic role of human resources by linking cultures, knowledge and skills. It also aims at boosting cultural exchanges between the countries bordering the Mediterranean, based on their common cultural heritage. It allows synergies between local and global actors.

THE WORLD IS MINE

MEDITER presents “The world is mine”, birth certificate of Jasmine, leader of the Network of women in the Mediterranean organized in Palermo in November 2019.

Exceptional witnesses to this network are 20 female leaders from 12 countries. The challenge is that of a radical cultural change, betting on the talent, courage and competence of women, a message addressed above all to the new generations who aspire to leadership roles in the Mediterranean.

The strength of the future and of hope” is therefore the input that the video intends to transmit also through the musical pieces which are kindly granted by Nawel Ben Kraïem, a young Tunisian artist capable of “scratching the soul” through his music . A voice as defined as painful. She is also a symbol of desire for redemption that goes beyond all limits and challenges all walls.
